Growing up (way too fast)...

So, we have been a bit busy around here, but I wanted to take a moment to share with you a big day in Henry's life.  Before I get to that, I know many of you have oh-so-gently told me that you are waiting to see pictures of the babies, and I promise you, they will come, eventually!  We have just been lovin' on those little guys so much, it is hard to take time away to sit in front of a computer, but I will try:)

Back to Henry...the highly anticipated day has arrived: he lost his first tooth!  I am pretty sure he considers himself a man now, he couldn't be more excited!  PRECIOUS!  We took some inspiration from the Schmiesings, and rigged up a memorable extraction.  Here are some photos, and video of the special moment

Before: (I made sure to get one last photo of that beautiful baby tooth smile- insert tears shed by mama!)

Getting prepared for the extraction:

The second attempt was almost successful- it loosened the tooth even more, there was blood and a little pain.  After a short pep talk from Papa, Henry was willing to give it another go.  He was so brave!  The third attempt was the one, and that little tooth went flying!  No joke it flew 25-30 feet across the room until it hit the other wall.  It took 4 adults (including 2 dentists) and 3 children about 20 minutes to find it- we swept the floor, took apart the couch, moved furniture, and said a prayer to St. Anthony before that little tooth was found!

Henry is now the proud owner of a $1 that the tooth fairy left for him!
