Camping- June

The Boy Scouts hosted a weekend of camping and activities for Military families.   Josh took Henry and Sean, and they had a blast.  The Scouts really did a great job having many activities for every age group, and providing all of the food.  The boys had a fantastic time swimming in the big lake with a blow up water slide, fishing, bouncy houses, archery, and bottle rocket launching.  Josh got to do some shooting too.  Probably one of activities the boys enjoyed most was rock throwing- they had an area that was designated for throwing rocks.  They hung all sorts of targets, old buckets, and other junk/noise makers for children to throw rocks at....genius!  With our boys, it is tempting to set something like this up in our back yard, but I am sure the neighbors wouldn't like it too much.

The boys LOVE sleeping in their sleeping bags- somehow their bags infuse all sorts of hyper activity.  I am sure they were awake for a very long time....

They came home, all dirty (but tick free!), rugged and bonded, just like boys should.  We are looking forward to next year, when the whole family can attend.
