I guess I will start with this guy:
William had his first practice last week. He was super excited as Henry and Sean started two weeks prior. Remember how I told you he was a bit on the lazier side? Well, even though the coach was generous enough to allow water breaks every 5 minutes, Will was on his own schedule of about every 3. He would walk over and declare his fatigue and need for water and then after about 3 minutes of rest, he was back out there for 3 minutes of activity.
He picked out a ball at the beginning of practice, and was not about to share...
...even when his coach borrowed it to demonstrate the next exercise. Nope, Will does not share.
During his 3 minutes on...
We were somehow able to sign Sean up on Henry's soccer team in the 6-7 year old league. Of course this makes it easier on us, be we only did it knowing he would be able to hold his own, and he does. He gives 100% at all times, including the practice he got a huge goose egg on his forehead from diving into the goal post when saving a ball while playing goalie. No tears. Henry, on the other hand, could care less about practice, he thrives on the competition of game time. Despite his nonchalance at practice, he comes out shining in the game. I love seeing them on the same team, it is the best. And, I really LOVE being an official soccer mom! Apparently I did make one mistake at my "first ever soccer mom game day", I let Sean play in his sun glasses. Duh, and oops! Unfortunately, Josh was TDY for their first game, but Uncle Kelly was able to be there to support them, and rock the babies in the stroller so I could grab a couple of pictures.
The boys woke up eeeerrrrrllllllleeee Saturday morning and donned their uniforms before they even left their rooms. Excited and ready to play (bed head and all). Henry is #8, Sean is #3
Sean played goalie for a quarter, unfortunately he didn't see much action as our team was on offense almost the entire quarter.
Excitement after our team scored. So glad they leave their shirts on...
Future Soccer Players:
Tired boys. The nights sometimes start off like this, and then somehow they make their way to our room!
Twin time...these cuties are slow-paced, but all over the place. Ben & Sam just recently realized there was more to the house than the living room. We all get such enjoyment out of all of their new milestones, and interactions as well as their different personalities. They are at SUCH A FUN AND WONDERFUL AGE!
your boys are soooo adorable! i can't believe how BIG they're all getting! glad you're all doing so well. miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteOh man! Too much to comment on, but I lurv the first several photos of Henry at soccer the best, and I concur...well done not ripping the shirt off, Henry! His joy! His defensive stance! His elbow in the face of the opponent!!!
ReplyDeleteWill...love his 'tude. Don't mess with him!
The twins... growing so quickly and so darn cute.
Sean and the sun glasses. Just pretend he has some photo-sensitivity or medical need for the sunglasses.
Miss and love you all terribly!
